Here’s another question: What kind of car did you drive in hs? Who did you think had the coolest car? I had NO car, so in my mind, everyone who had a car had a cool car!

My very first car that I bought myself after college was an Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais. I walked into the dealership and said, “I want to order a car,” then sat down with a salesman and picked out the color and all the features I wanted. The car ended up costing me around $4,000, I think. Can’t imagine what that would cost now!

My having no car was totally my fault, lol, Libbie! I had to get a job and SAVE enough for a downpayment, then my dad would match it and pay my insurance and I would make the payments. I worked at John A. Brown, and my paycheck was spent before I ever got it. I had cute clothes, though, and friends who had cars, so it was ok. 😉

Keith Iott had an awesome 1969 Mach 1 and it had Pearlescent Paint that looked different depending on the angle. He has his own Architecture Firm in Salisbury, Maryland these days.
