Seriously? Someone please define what the purpose of a 40 year reunion is….. Comparing how the years have affected our appearance? Who has the most cash or property? Think about it ….make it meaningful and deep… Or post side by side photos along with bank statements

Posted at 21:09h, 01 MayThey have always been a lot of fun. I have been to all of ours for the vlass of 1979.

Posted at 21:11h, 01 MayIt’s entirely possible I over thought the previous post…. But…. Really what is the point? To come together and rejoice at being able to come together or to return to what was important in high school…. Bowing out with apologies… Rock on

Posted at 21:25h, 01 MayIf it’s just a comparison thing then I would t go but the 10 year wasn’t. I was fat at the 10 year hope not to be at this one. Weight watchers is helping me with that wish.

Posted at 21:30h, 01 MayThought-provoking topic! Could it be that everyone has a somewhat-distinctly-different agenda, as to what would/could happen? Hell maybe there’s someone out there who might attend this old codgers gathering with no agenda at all: and may be pleasantly (or not) surprised.

Posted at 21:37h, 01 MayI’ve been to every reunion except the 15, and I can tell you that each one is better than the last, primarily because at this point, no one cares what group you hung around with in school anymore and everyone is genuinely glad to see everyone. We don’t all get the chance to attend a reunion 40 years after high school ended, as is evidenced by the list of deceased classmates. Having survived breast cancer 8 years ago, I am thrilled that I’m here to attend this one!

Posted at 21:55h, 01 MayI now have no doubt that the post was innocent and Jiminy Christmas time has been kind to her…..

Posted at 22:00h, 01 MayI’ve heard wonderful things about past reunions, have been out with former Pirates now and then at happy hour….or run into other former Pirates where I work and around town—everyone, everytime has been so kind, warm and we all were excited to see each other. We all have being a Pirate in common!!! I have not been able to make any of the reunions for one reason or another like weddings on business travel… I am so excited to still be living long enough to attend, help and join in the celebration. We are Pirate-Family!!!!!!

Posted at 22:13h, 01 MayOh gosh I think by now everyone is humbled by life.
I certainly have been.
😃
Let me know if that drug swap works Darren Dunn I’ll stop by.
Personally I think if we are still breathing we are all doing damn good😂

Posted at 22:14h, 01 MayHope I can make it. It’s a Celebration. Fun to see what people have been up to the last 40 years. With a gathering of Pirates, their may be some Tall Tales Told. — You’ll have to subpoena my bank records and I’ll probably move to quash.😎

Posted at 22:48h, 01 MayI’m genuinely looking forward to seeing & visiting with everyone. Totally agree with the previous comments about how much more enjoyable these gatherings are as time marches on… cuz truly what really matters in life? Shared experiences & creating meaningful experiences that become cherished memories. Although so long ago, HS was an important foundational time in my life. I look forward to our upcoming opportunity to celebrate our “Pirate” heritage!!

Posted at 23:07h, 01 MayLisa White My apologies if I upset you by my side by side pictures..
I didn’t attend the 20, 25, 30 or 35 PC Reunions.
I did attend the 10-year Reunion.
I went to
PC West my Senior year … and I was doing the side by side so that when I saw those old friends from PC.. people would more less know….hey Susan!! I was such a dork back then..
My side by side photos was no way meant to embarrass anybody or to make anybody feel bad or secure.
But I don’t have any bank statements hahaha.

Posted at 23:16h, 01 MayLisa, as I read your original post, made me think of this saying. I personally do not remember you but there are a lot of former classmates I did not know or remember. I look forward to seeing everyone and meeting classmates I never met. Friendship is a gift and you just never know this reunion might be a blessing in disguise. Live everyday like it was your last.

Posted at 23:20h, 01 MayI haven’t attended since the 10Y. I am really looking forward to the 40th. I didn’t even know we had a 15! My mom has been to her 50th Pirate reunion and gives me a little grief over not going. So, I am doing this and hope I remember your names. I am following FB closely to study up😉

Posted at 23:37h, 01 MayI’d just like to cruise 39th one more time listening to Boston blasting. I probably should have ear protection. Should have listened to my mom. Can we have a side trip for a few minutes?

Posted at 01:25h, 02 MayIt is to see the people we grew up with, and to connect to them even if we did not in school.

Posted at 02:00h, 02 MayLibbie you know I will definitely be there! And I don’t care if anyone thinks I’m fat, or old, or ugly, or rich, or poor or whatever, doesn’t matter to me. I’m going to see old friends, hopefully make some new friends, tell and hear a whole lot of those “Tall Tales” you were talking about Charles, maybe dance a little and just celebrate the fact that we have all survived this crazy world over the last 40 years!

Posted at 02:05h, 02 MayRonda, I’ll be excited to see you. I still look the same. I’ve done acupuncture and it’s been miraculous. 🙂

Posted at 03:19h, 02 MayThat’s great Richard! I am excited to see you as well! I don’t know if I look the same but I believe I’m at least recognizable! LOL!
