We had a great reunion committee meeting last night with 14 people in attendance. This reunion is going to be epic and we as a collective group have so much to offer and give back to the school system we all attended.
We are going to hold a 50/50 raffle and silent auction. Proceeds from this are going to benefit the Putnam City Schools food bank and clothing closet. 94% of students at Putnam City High School alone are on free or reduced lunch. Putnam City West has added washers and dryers so kids can do their laundry and have clean clothes to wear.
The need is great to make sure these students have every opportunity to be successful in life. It starts in the primary school system.
If you know anyone who has a product or service they would be willing to donate to us that would be wonderful.
We are also implementing a 100 club. This is a club where we ask for donations from class members of $100 – 3 times per year. This will enable our class to give back to the school system itself and set up a scholarship program.
I have attached the flyers. Please remember, we are a registered 501 (c)(3) non profit organization. ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE (INCLUDING THE COST OF ATTENDING THE REUNION).
Let's make this a great reunion to remember. We have lost 60 classmates and our Principal since graduation. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
We will accept cash, checks and credit cards at the reunion.
